A key aspect of prompting an LLM is to make up your mind. For a given problem, what is going to be your role in combination with the LLM. This is where you take control of the conversation in your hands
E.g. Who is going to generate the ideas? You? LLM? Both? Who’s defining the format? What’s the procedure? and so on.
If overall role and roles at specific stages of creating solutions is clear, then based on context, there is value in highly specific as well as highly vague atomic prompts as well.
Prompt Engineering is not about cramming ready-made prompts. It’s about pattern thinking. And No. Not just about cramming already documented patterns. Pattern Thinking.
